Newly built Convent of Regular Franciscan Tertiary Sisters (RFTS) was blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr. Agnelo Rufino Gracias, the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Jalandhar on 23rd November 2019 at Joneke, Harike Pattan. The event began with blessing the Crucifix and Sacred Images and then cutting the ribbon followed by Holy Eucharistic presided over by Most Rev. Dr. Agnelo Rufino Gracias, the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese. The foundation stone for the New Convent was laid by Rev. Fr. Thomas Mathew Keeprath, the Finance Administrator of the Diocese on 18th March 2019. The building of the convent was begun with Rev. Fr. Simon K, then the Chaplain and parish Priest and was completed by Rev. Fr. Thomas Poochalil, the Chaplain and the parish Priest. Good number of Fathers of the Diocese, Religious sisters and many well-wishers were present on this day. Rev. Sr. Valsamma RFTS, the Provincial Superior of the Congregation thanked everyone for their support and presence. The First Golden Jubilarians of the Congregation from India were also felicitated soon after the mass. The liturgy was arranged in a meaningful way by the RFTS sisters with the great support of Rev. Fr. Thomas Poochalil, the Parish Priest and Chaplain and Rev. Fr. Bibin OSH, the assistant Parish Priest.
